What is Rock the Era?

To commemorate 80 years since the founding of the SGI (Soka Gakkai International) and 50 years since SGI President Ikeda first visited America to spread Nichiren Buddhism, the youth of the SGI-USA are hosting territory-wide culture festivals collectively called “Rock the Era.”  The West Territory will be hosting a monumental celebration filled with performances and everlasting memories on July 10, 2010 at the Long Beach Arena. LA Zone (this site is mainly focused on all activities for Los Angeles Zone) is one of 8 zones in the West Territory.  It is important to note that how we “Rock the Era” will be unique to each participant. That is to say, “Rock the Era” is about how much each of us is willing to actively engage in our Human Revolution while joyously preparing for the culture festival itself.

If you have a Rock the Era experience to share, please e-mail it to sgi.laproductions@gmail.com and we will post it on this site! Thank you and let’s continue to win together!
