Rock the Era Taiko Group is dedicated to demonstrating the power of one young person to change the world — through our performance and our lives. In Buddhism sound has tremendous power. With the resonating beat of our drums, the victorious cries of our voices, and in the same spirit as our mentor we of the Taiko group are determined to inspire everyone who hears us — to transform their destiny and the destiny of the place where they live. Taiko group allows people to courageously express their own inner determination through their drum beats while at the same time teaching them how to be in totally unity with those around them. For members of the Taiko group, this symbolizes a crucial point of how we can advance in our SGI movement for world peace through sharing this Buddhism with others. Taiko is also a great work out, high energy and tons of fun!!! In the past Taiko Drums were used in warfare to call an ally to the battle. For us, in our struggle for peace we are using our drums to call on all of our youthful comrades to emerge!
